Isabel Uribe

Designer

Hi, I’m Isabel!

I started Casita Isa because I’ve always loved how much a space can change the way you feel. My style is a little bit of everything, I’m drawn to bold colors, unique pieces, and collected spaces that feel layered and personal, but I also appreciate when things feel balanced and intentional.

I don’t believe in sticking to one “type” of design. I love mixing styles, combining old and new, and creating spaces that feel like they’ve come together over time. Some of my favorite spaces are the ones that feel unexpected, where every piece has a story or adds something interesting.

I’m someone who pays attention to the details (probably too much), but I think that’s what makes a space feel finished. I care about how things function just as much as how they look, and I love finding that balance between expressive and livable.

More than anything, I want the spaces I design to feel like you, personal, a little bold, and somewhere you genuinely love being.

Background

Before transitioning into design, I spent five years working in education. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Rehabilitation, as well as a Master’s in Severe and Multiple Disabilities. That experience really shaped the way I think, especially when it comes to understanding people, their needs, and how they move through spaces.

It’s something I still carry into my design work. I naturally think about function, flow, and how a space can support someone’s everyday life, not just how it looks.

Now, I’m continuing my education through UCLA Extension in their Architecture and Interior Design program, where I’m building on that foundation and translating it into the design world.

Alongside school, I also work at a design firm, where I’m gaining hands-on experience and being part of the full design process. Balancing both has allowed me to grow creatively while staying grounded in real, functional design.
